Owners Cecil and Karen had always wanted a dog, but living in apartments made it difficult. They knew the moment the moved in somewhere larger that it was time to adopt a dog. They could not wait! Lassen, a Pitbull - Rat Terrier was 5 months old from a shelter in TX. Her mother died giving birth and was given up for adoption. Fortunately, it was love at first sight. Being avid outdoors people, Karen and Cecil decided to name her after their favorite park, Lassen National Park. Lassen enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, catching frisbees, and most of all chasing squirrels.
